Welcome to the Social Radio feed!
The site is currently under heavy development, so you'll see new pages, features and improvements appearing regularly over the coming weeks. Be sure to check back every few days to see what's new.

To help demonstrate how the community will look once it's active, all posts and comments (apart from this one) have been seeded for demonstration purposes.

If you have any ideas, suggestions or features you'd like to see added, I'd genuinely love to hear them. Please leave a message in the RadioDJ Forums topic, and I'll do my best to include as many community suggestions as possible.

The aim is to create a modern, feature-rich radio community platform that any station owner can install and make their own. As development continues, you'll see new features being added, existing ones refined, and plenty of opportunities to help shape the final product before it's officially released.

Big thanks to everyone tuning in today. Independent radio only works because listeners show up.

Independent radio needs this kind of support. Lovely post.

Presenters put in so much work behind the scenes.

Helen Brown

Listeners appreciate it more than DJs probably realise.

Emma Collins

Totally agree. Local and online radio still matters.

Tom Hughes

It is always worth it when people tune in and join the chat.

This is exactly why I wanted Social Radio to have a proper community feed.

VirtualDJ here. It has been solid for me for years.

Neil Roberts

Same here. RadioDJ does everything I need.

Mike Taylor

I have tried a few, but I always come back to RadioDJ.

Paul Walker

I am still testing options for my station, so this is useful.

Automation choice really depends on how much live content you do.

Dan Phillips

Good scheduling and reliable playout are the two big things for me.

I'm at Discotheque Manchester This Saturday!

If you're out in Manchester this Saturday night, come and say hello!

I'll be at Discotheque from 10:00pm for a massive 90s Night, packed with everything from dance classics and Britpop to club anthems and guilty pleasures.

I'd love to hear what you'd like to hear on the night, so drop your favourite 90s tracks in the comments below. Whether it's Haddaway, Snap!, Gala, Corona, Oasis, Blur or something completely different, I'm always looking for requests.

Hopefully I'll see a few of you on the dancefloor. Come over and say hello if you're there!

Definitely add Snap! - Rhythm Is A Dancer.

Dave Wilson

Culture Beat - Mr Vain has to be on the playlist.

What decade would you choose if you could only listen to one forever? I’m saying 80s.

Dave Wilson

80s for me every time. Synths, big choruses and proper radio hits.

Gary Evans

I would go 90s. Dance music from that decade was unbeatable.

Andy Moore

70s rock would keep me happy forever.

Lucy Green

I am torn between 80s and 90s. Both had so much character.

Kevin Hall

90s club classics for me. No question.

Sarah Brooks

I think I would choose 80s too. So many songs still sound huge.

That sounds like a proper studio day. Nothing better than tidy cables and clean audio.

I always say I am going to tidy my desk and then it lasts about ten minutes.

Absolutely. There is something special about a small friendly radio community.

Tom Hughes

Agreed. It feels more like a radio lounge than just a feed.

Helen Brown

I like that listeners and presenters can all post together.

Emma Collins

This is much nicer than only having comments on social media.

Alex Rivers

Alex Rivers is live tonight with a full hour of rock classics. Expect guitars, big choruses and plenty of requests.

Love that the site can be changed around for different stations. That will be really handy.

Neil Roberts

The theme idea is brilliant. Every station has its own style.

Lisa Turner

A dance theme would be perfect for my kind of shows.

Andy Moore

Rock theme please! Dark colours, bold buttons, proper attitude.

EmmaS

That is exactly the plan. Each station should feel like its own brand.
