"I have to laugh at myself when I think of this song. I had become stale in my faith - not quite backslidden but heading in that direction. When God finally got through to me and I realised where I was at, I saw myself as the prodigal - in need of turning round and going home. But being Carol I also wanted to write a beautiful song of repentance and tell the Father how sorry I was and how much I loved Him. God decided otherwise and the piggy-wigs arrived. The first line of the chorus was the work of my son, Stephen. I think he was just teasing me but I accepted it and allowed it to be part of the repentance process."

"A song born out of a challenge. I was preaching at a local church and one of the members asked me if I knew of a song about the two on the road to Emmaus. Was there one in any of the more modern songbooks? He had looked through the Methodist Hymnbook with no luck. I told him I didn't think I had seen one so he said I'd better write one then! So I did."

"Ps 139 - lovely. This psalm brings it home to me that God knows me better than I know myself and having given my life to Him there is no where I can go that God is not already there. Physically, emotionally and spiritually. And as I approach my comments on CD 4. I thank God that He was there for me in the dark place of depression."
